Chhota Kaam? | Urban Company

India’s blue-collar jobs have often been segregated into boxes by the class system. From bathroom cleaning to waxing to even plumbing, most of these professions, now listed on Urban Company come attached with societal baggage. The respect gap between our country’s white-collar and blue-collar force is a huge chasm at the moment.
This film questioned and challenged the Indian consumer, and nudged them towards a better, more equal direction. Written by freelance consultant, Shivani Gairola, this film allowed me to craft the conversation in a way that is sensitive, and representative of the people we want to create equity for, and own the research process by collaborating with eminent writer about caste and gigworkers in India, Balram Vishwakarma, and his colleagues.
