There’s a widespread notion in India that women’s cricket championships might be progressive, but they are also boring. Because the masses associate raw power, physical strength and speed – traits of great on-field action as masculine.
Uber, event sponsor of the Women’s World T20 championship wanted to reflect its own vision of moving forward by turning the most unpopular event of the country’s most popular sport into a rallying cry for inclusion and diversity.
